FAQs

General Questions

Can I visit your store?

I do not have a storefront for customers to visit. The website offers a photo album and price information. We can discuss your order on the phone or by email. You may request a wedding cake consultation meeting.

Can I get samples?

I provide samples and one consultation meeting for new brides. I cannot provide samples for other occasions.

Can I make changes to a cake I like on your website?

Absolutely! These pictures are only samples and ideas. You can change anything you want. You may also send photos from other sources.

Is there a minimum order?

My minimum order is $50. This covers all cakes except smash cakes. You may only order smash cakes with other cakes or in multiples. The minimum cookie order is 24 cookies.

What does price per serving mean?

When you let me know approximately how many people you need to serve, I will suggest a cake size that comes the closest to serving this number of people. You pay per serving for what the cake actually serves.

Can I send you a picture or idea from another website?

Yes! You are not limited to the cakes I have here. I can make custom shapes or themes. However, copyrighted characters such as Elmo or SpongeBob cannot be legally duplicated. I can add character toys or candles to any design.

Where do you deliver?

I offer free delivery to Albany, Leesburg, and Smithville (GA). Surrounding towns are available for an additional fee. You can meet me in Leesburg or Smithville for pickup.

Can you ship cakes?

No, I can’t ship cakes, but I will ship cookies!

Can I pick up my order?

I can deliver your order or we can agree on a convenient place to meet.

Do you make cakes in your own home?

No, I don’t work out of my home kitchen. I have a separate building on my property with a commercial kitchen that is licensed and inspected regularly.

How do I pay for my cake?

I accept all major credit cards, debit cards, PayPal, checks, money orders, and cash.

How do I place an order?

Call ( 229-347-4946) or email me for price quotes and ordering information.

Wedding Questions

How do I set up a consultation for my wedding cake?

A face-to-face meeting is not required. If you choose to have one, the cost is $20, which is due at the consultation. I can usually meet Mon -10am-7pm/ Tues, Wed, & Thurs – 1pm -7pm. If you live out of town and are only here on a weekend, we can sometimes meet on Sunday.

I offer one consultation per bridal couple. Please come prepared with pictures, color samples, etc. I am always available by phone or email to discuss any changes or questions you may have.
In order to guarantee your order and wedding date, I need a deposit of at least 1/2 of the total. The balance is due at least 3 weeks before the wedding. Should you change your mind and cancel your wedding cake, $50 of your deposit is non-refundable.

How do I schedule a second wedding consultation?

Because of my hectic schedule, I am only able to offer one consultation meeting per bride. Please be prepared with details, ideas and/or pictures at our meeting. You may email or call me in order to make changes or add finishing touches.

Will you deliver the wedding cake?

Wedding cake delivery is free in Albany, Leesburg, and Smithville (GA). There is an additional fee to deliver to surrounding towns. You may pick up your wedding cake. My cakes travel extremely well, but some people find transport a stacked cake to be a little scary. I recommend delivery, simply to relieve this pressure on an already stressful day. When you let me know approximately how many people you need to serve, I will choose a cake size that comes the closest to serving this number of people. You pay per serving for what the cake actually serves.

Where do I get a cake stand?

Stands are not necessary but add some height and elegance to your table display. I do not provide metal pedestals or stands for your wedding cakes. You may rent them locally at Rental Depot and Bob White Rents. Your caterer, florist, or venue coordinator may also provide these. Other ideas include a mirror, a glass pedestal, a box draped with fabric, a ring of small stands/glass vases/glass bricks, etc.

What are my choices for flowers on the wedding cake?

Flowers may be added to any design. I can provide edible flowers, or I can use silk flowers provided by you. I must have silk flowers before the wedding day. I will not add them on-site. Fresh flowers must be provided and applied by your florist. Please research your fresh flower choice. Many flowers are poisonous and should not be put on your cake.

Will you cut the wedding cake?

I don’t offer cake serving or table decorating services. Here are a few articles that may be helpful for serving your cake.

What is a groom's cake?

The groom’s cake is a southern tradition! While not required, it definitely adds fun and another flavor choice for your guests. The groom’s cake usually reflects his interests and personality.
